چکیده

This work presents the conceptual design of a gas distribution pipeline network for estates in Nigeria using University Abuja Staff Quarters as case study. The problem statement was aggressive consumption cooking gas, referred to liquefied petroleum (LPG), without networks infrastructures homes and across but relies on cylinders with its attendant danger. methodology includes determination demand from average monthly each households, elevation head, diameter pipelines, velocity, mass flow rate, head losses pressure drop analysis series (option 1), parallel 2) grid 3) options. results obtained indicate that best option trunk, reticulation service pipelines connections minimize investment costs equitable pressures at outlets. In selected option, total length 50.8 mm trunk 19.52 m, while 12.7 were 3,223.34 m 1,648.46 respectively. quantities fittings required layout determined an estate 124 houses. rates LPG 3 sections found be 0.39 kg/s loss based local resistance coefficients lowest (1,568.33 m), which also has least 67.84 kPa pipelines. It can concluded optimized could adopted staff quarters other Nigeria, similar buildings layout.
